The 43rd Annual SaPaDaPaSo Parade
As far as I am concerned, St. Patrick's Day is one of the best holidays of the year! It is the time of year when I get together with Mike Harrington to walk in the Cedar Rapids SaPaDaPaSo Parade in downtown. It has become a tradition that neither of us wants to give up. Rain or shine, we are there. My son first participated in the parade when he was just 3 weeks old!
I also host a yearly walk through downtown Cedar Rapids. It mainly consists of a large group of friends exploring all that downtown Cedar Rapids has to offer on St Patrick's Day. The city handles this holiday well and the parade is always well-attended by locals and out-of-town visitors alike. It’s a great day to reconnect with old friends and enjoy the festivities of the day. I highly encourage you to come out and attend the parade and all the activities if you have not yet experienced it.
