In honor of National Truck Driver Appreciation Week, Chris headed out on the road to get a feel for what our drivers go through on a daily basis.
On Sunday evening, Chris loaded up his truck and set out for Muscatine, IA to pick up a Hon load destined for Salt Lake City. After spending the night at a rest area on I-80 in Nebraska, he stopped for his 30-minute break in Cheyenne. While getting some exercise, he discovered a bolt in the RRO trailer tire. The tire was down 60 psi and would have surely been ruined if it hadn’t been discovered — and it had just checked ok in the inspection lane on Sunday. While waiting for tire repairs, he took the opportunity to eat a healthy lunch and get some more exercise.
Thankfully, the rest of the day went well and the load was delivered on time. After a good night’s rest, Chris was up early on Tuesday morning to sweep out the trailer, get a shower and enjoy breakfast before hauling the next load to Denver. From Denver, he will be heading back up to Omaha and then over to Iowa. So be sure to keep an eye out for truck 1770 over these next few days and tell Chris "hi" if you see him out there on the road.
