Daylight Saving Time begins Sunday, March 12, bringing longer days, the start of spring, and warmer weather. Don't forget to set your clocks ahead 1 hour!
Below are some fun facts regarding Daylight Saving Time:
Hawaii and most of Arizona do not observe DST.
Daylight Saving Time was first implemented in the U.S. during WW1 to save fuel by reducing the need for artificial lighting.
Countries located near the equator do not observe DST, as the daylight hours there do not vary with the seasons.
DST is a good reminder to put fresh batteries in warning devices such as smoke detectors and hazard warning radios.
