Don Hummer Trucking's Night at the Ballpark
Last Saturday, September 3rd, Don Hummer Trucking held its annual company outing at a Cedar Rapids Kernels baseball game at Veterans Memorial Stadium. We had 209 employees, customers, and family members attend.
The ball game was a great way for everyone to enjoy some time together outside of the office. The weather was perfect, and there was a fireworks display after the game. Unfortunately, the Kernels lost 5-8 to the Clinton LumberKings, but hit two home runs late in the game to score all their runs.
The kids that attended had an especially good time. My 2-year-old daughter couldn’t stop talking about the ice cream and balloons she got from the game. Speaking for my family, I know we cannot wait until next year’s Don Hummer Trucking night at the ballpark.
