How much do you pay?
You earn 40 cents per mile for all dispatched delivered miles.

What do I have to do to get the 40 cents?
As long as you are accident free, drive safely, have on-time deliveries and follow government and company policies, you will be paid 39 cents per dispatched delivered mile, plus earn vacation pay (see next question). We take safety and customer service very seriously at Don Hummer Trucking.  There are pay deductions for non-compliance with our Driver Compliance and Safety programs.

What about vacation pay?
On the next paycheck after your anniversary date, you are paid 1 cent for all dispatched delivered miles during the previous twelve months.  As your years-of-service with our company grows, so does your vacation pay!  Years 6 – 9 you will receive 1.5 cents and Years 10+ you will receive 2 cents per dispatched mile.  As long as you are still driving for us, you will be paid vacation.

How often do you pay?
We pay every other Friday.  Direct deposit is available to you so you do not need to worry about getting your paycheck deposited right away.

Do I get paid for orientation?
Yes, we pay your lodging/meal expenses during our two-day orientation.  Plus we pay you a $150 bonus for your time.

How much can I make?
Many of our drivers make over $60,000 per year.
